Welcome to Vancouver, Canada

This year, (February 2005) in an annual poll taken by the British magazine, The Economist, Vancouver has tied with Melbourne and Vienna as the best cities in which to live.

The white roof of the building on the bottom left of the picture, is that of the British Colubmbia Place Stadium held up by 26 gigantic fans that runs 24 hours a day. The roof is to be replaced with a retractable rood after the Olympics are finished

 Welcome To Harald's Home Page

I was born and raised at Avaldsnes Norway. I came to Vancouver, British Columbia, together with my friend,
Einar Stokke (Einar  lives in Seattle) in 1954, with the intention of staying for about two years. It was six years
until I returned to Norway, but, "the damage" was done. After my return to Vancouver,
it looked so much "Like Home".... with Mountains and Fjords, and nice people, that in 1960 I adopted
Canada as"My Country". I have lived in Vancouver since 1956. Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in
North America, not mainly because of its Geographical location, but also for its cleanliness and Ethnic Peoples
Vancouver is easily visited by clicking on:Vancouver While in Vancouver, pay a visit to Kerrisdale Lumber Co.,
